Did you ever have a yearning to do something different - to do something you love? Working in a quilt shop, taking classes, making quilt samples, designing patterns - all that was good. But actually owning your own on-line quilt shop? Now that takes the cake!

So Fabric Buffet was started. Well...first there was a room to be converted to store all the lovely fabrics. Then all the paperwork to start a business, new equipment to learn, accounts to establish, fabric to order, and then, Yes! fabric arrived! Then came the fun job of putting all the lovelies onto the website for you to view.

Are you wondering why I didn't open a brick and mortar store? Hmmm, well it's like this. Having been born and raised in Chicago, I am now contentedly living in the hilly southern part of Indiana, an hour away in every direction from major shopping. But no worries. The UPS driver knows where to find me, winding his way up and up on a one way road to one of the highest points in the county . What a guy! And talk about service. Even my mail carrier comes to my door to pick up the outgoing packages.
